Bluestones staffing is recruiting for an Assistant Quality Manager in Belfast.

The role is to assist the quality manage in managing all aspects of quality in factory and production and its environment, ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards and ensuring they meet the requirements of Customer Specification.

Working with the quality and manufacturing team to drive continuous improvement with specific focus on Product Quality standards. Building and maintaining strong relationships with the production team to ensure that quality is at the forefront and that they can work together to ensure that the company meets highest quality standards at all times.

  • Product and Process Quality Champion throughout the site
    Managing the quality control team
    Responsible for ensuring assessment of Product Quality onsite is completed on time and meets customer specification
    Assisting the quality manager in the maintenance of the quality management system as per roles and responsibilities
    Managing the Internal audit system and ensuring corrective/preventative actions are identified and implemented
    Continually reviewing quality standards to ensure we are meeting customer and market requirements.
    Review of customer reports, investigations of issues and ensuring timely responses to the customer
    Maintaining internal information systems such as- KPI, scorecards, customer complaint responses and trending of complaints.
    In conjunction with the Quality Manager supporting manufacturing teams to ensure processes are reviewed to maintain & improve product Quality.
    Assist the Quality Manager in ensuring all customer and third party audits exceed requirements.
    Streamlining all reporting/process control and monitoring systems within the factory environment.
    Essential criteria
  • 3rd Level Qualification or equivalent
    Internal Audit experience
    HACCP experience
    Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a similar role.
    Working knowledge of ISO 9001; BRC standard, HACCP
    Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and organisational skills.
    Team leadership qualities and personal development skills.
    Ability to work on own initiative, self-motivated, well organised and assertive.
    Logical approach, excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
    Report writing and procedural writing skills.
