Bluestones Staffing specialised Manufacturing division has a requirement for a Quality Inspector for their busy production department.  If you are looking for a company that has progression and excellent training this can be the role for you.

Location:    Lisburn

Duration:   Temporary with the opportunity of a permanent role for the right candidate.

Shifts:          Three shift rotational (0700-1500, 1500 – 2300, 2300 – 0700)

Salary:        Semi skilled (£9.3112) moving to Skilled (£9.4828) per hour 22% shift allowance.

About the role:

Be part of a team focused on controlling manufactured product Quality.

Work with Engineering and Production members in the reduction / elimination of scrap and rework.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Conduct product audits – visually and dimension-ally checking parts for quality, accuracy and defects.

·        Completing documentation for each shift completed.

  • Ensure all equipment used is in calibration and good working order.
    Conduct 1st and last off inspections where needed.
    Establish best practice and develop new inspection techniques working with QC Co-ordinator, Quality Engineers and Quality Manager.
  • Liaise with Team Leaders to ensure non-conforming products are actioned as and when required e.g. Non-conformance procedure
    Carry out inspection tasks in other areas when necessary.
    Carry out investigations on non-conforming parts.
    Learn all associated equipment within the Quality control areas.
    Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing, engineering and or quality controlled environment.
    Essential: Previous quality inspection experience within a manufacturing environment
    Essential: An excellent eye for detail – the successful applicant may also be required to pass colour blindness and eyesight tests.

Essential:

  • Maths and Literacy skills (Spoken / written English)
    Experience using Measurement tools, CMM or Faro arm is an advantage but not essential
    Be able to work as part of a team and under own initiative.
    Good problem solving skills and proactive nature regarding day to day workload is needed
    Ability to follow spoken and written instructions
