Hours of work:  40hr per week with overtime available.

Location:  Cookstown

Duration:  Temp to perm for the right candidate

Hourly Rate:  £7.50 – £7.83phr

 

Duties:

 

Working on a production line
Working a team on a daily  basis
Learning all role within company
Ensuring shop floor is kept clean and tidy
Adhering to health and safety

Transport Planner

Bluestones staffing is working with a leading distribution client in Duncrue.  Due to continued success they have an immediate start for an experience transport planner.

This is an initial 3 – 6 months contract with a possible permanent position for the right person.

Responsibilities…

• Planning of daily collections and processing via in house Velocity system.
• Allocation of vehicles to the loads as booked by the customer, bearing in mind aspects of cost, customer service, tachograph regulations and equipment availability.
• Bookings of boats, bearing in mind aspects such as cost and customer service.
• Regular tracking of vehicles and equipment.
• Keeping customers and drivers informed of progress of transport delays and any other changes.
• Shipping booking confirmation.

 

Essential Criteria…

Previous Transport Planning Experience

Sound geographical knowledge of UK and Ireland

Experience in dealing with customers and drivers (hauliers)
Knowledge of windows based software especially Excel
Attention to detail with particular reference to data input

Available to work 12 hour shifts on a rotation including weekends

Desirable Criteria…

Awareness of vehicle safety legislation; drivers’ hours and tachographs

Key Duties:

Lead the resourcing process in collaboration with hiring managers   for all openings to ensure we obtain the best possible talent available (from Apprentice level to Senior Leadership).

Develop clear job description and person specifications in conjunction with line management.

Leverage all aspects of sourcing and candidate development including job posting, job board mining, Internet sourcing, social networking, employee referrals, college programs and networking events.

Evaluate candidate applications, CV’s, screening and interview process.

Oversee an efficient and professional hiring process by guiding managers through the process and outlining clear expectations and timely updates.

Provide weekly status reports about open requisitions and recruiting activities to Head of HR.

Assist in supporting the department by addressing HR queries from management /staff providing advice and guidance.

Recommends and implements recruiting strategies to ensure that our client stays competitive in the market and attracts, retains and motivates its top talent.

Builds a candidate pipeline for key positions and maintain regular contact with possible future candidates.

Develops working relationships with colleges and universities to assist in recruiting and give presentations at student group meetings and colleges to increase awareness of the company or organization

Act as Employer Branding Champion, representing the Company at external events such as job fairs & updating of careers page

Tracks metrics and uses data for analysis of recruiting campaigns and sourcing strategies.

Any other duties within the post holder’s competence as requested.

Proven experience of taking the lead in multiple resourcing activities simultaneously

Proven experience in sourcing, interviewing and evaluation candidates.

Ability to organise skills assessment centre, psychometric tests and or work samples.

Proficient user of MS office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.

Skills and Knowledge:

Excellent knowledge if employment law specifically around the recruitment prcoesses.
